IRBM is defined as the coordinated management of resources in natural environment (air, water, land, flora and fauna) based on river basin as a geographical unit/area with the objective of balancing man’s needs with necessity of conserving resources to ensure their sustainability.
The Penang Development Corporation (PDC) has engaged Perunding Pinang Sdn Bhd as Consultant to study and prepare the Drainage and Storm Water Management Master Plan for Batu Kawan Industrial Park 2 (BKIP 2), Byram, Mukim 11, Seberang Perai Selatan, Pulau Pinang.
The Bukit Mertajam Wet Market building was razed by fire and partially destroyed by the blaze. The Seberang Perai Municipal Council has appointed PPSB to conduct a forensic study on the building’s skeletal structure and its overall condition to measure the full extent of the fire damages. PPSB was also tasked with the restoration of the building’s core structures and support columns.
Design & Build
PPSB has been tasked with the overall design & construction of a new mosque for a small town of Permatang Bogak, Seberang Perai, Penang. The mosque’s design is a based of a modern mosque design, with a 110ft minaret tower laced with intricate Islamic elements complementing the mosque’s facade. The Permatang Bogak mosque will be a notable landmark to the locality as well as a religious congregational place for local Muslim worshippers.
Integrity Auditing
A Forensic Structural Audit is an overall health and performance checkup of a building like a doctor examines a patient. It ensures that the building and its premises are safe and have no risk. We analyses and suggests appropriate repairs and retrofitting measures required for the buildings to perform better in its service life.
Our flood mitigation planning & management services include strategic flood risk assessment based on as-built drawings and on-site analysis to evaluate flood risk across the extent of the studied area. Once vulnerable flood zones has been determined, our team will propose the required flood mitigation approaches and strategies to be implemented.
Power Plant
PPSB has partnered with a German tech company Snow Leopard Projects GmbH to test run a prototype design of a mini biogas power plant in USM. This mini biogas plant system is developed to optimize regional organic waste management and usage of renewable raw material. This system uses various feedstock like organic waste, agricultural waste as well as food production residues and different kinds of renewable materials for power generation.
(CISST) System for Water Villages
This CISST System was introduced and proposed by PPSB for the sole purpose of solving the problem of rural water villages – they have poor drainage or are not connected to the mains sewage network septic tanks that allow safe disposal of wastewater. Hence, this CISST System is a sustainable and an inexpensive solution to solve the problem since these habitations are not land-based and situated remotely from urban sewage networks.
Department of Sewage Services Malaysia (JPP) has commissioned PPSB to propose an upgrade to current communal IST (Individual Septic Tanks) systems, seeking for a better IST solution capable of treating sewage complying to Standard A effluent of the Environmental Quality Act 1974. Simultaneously, the solution must be commercially viable, efficient, durable and reliable.
