Perunding Pinang Sdn Bhd (PPSB) is one of Universiti Sains Malaysia's business entities acting as a special purpose vehicle for the Universiti’s professional staff to practice.
All endeavours and business activities taken by PPSB is supported by Centre of Business Development USM contributing to the financial sustainability of Universiti Sains Malaysia.

PPSB is the premier designer of prefabricated sewage treatment plant in Malaysia. The technology was developed in USM in the early 1980’s. About 80% of Malaysia’s prefabricated treatment plant designs originated here in Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).
USM has allocated a 1-hectare site as a sewerage treatment Research and Development facility. The facility incorporate a Biogas Plant, 2 activated sludge sewage treatment plants and several prefabricated septic tanks. It also has several pilot constructed wetland plant modules.
We have conducted countless research and development in the wastewater industry that has benefited both the public and private sector throughout the nation contributing to a greener environment.
